Both the Swedish Transport Administration and the Swedish Transport Agency were affected by the problems, and until 2 pm all theory and driving tests were cancelled, a total of around 2,000.
"The systems are now up and running again. We are returning to normal operations," says Anders Cronqvist, communications specialist for driver testing at the Swedish Transport Administration.
It is not clear what was behind the error.
"There is nothing to indicate that it was caused by external influence; rather, it appears to have been an internal problem," says Anders Cronqvist.
Everyone affected by cancelled exams will automatically receive an offer of a new time.
