When Greczula performed his "Half of me", not everything went as planned. The device that was supposed to lift him into the air at the end could not be lowered from the ceiling. Instead, Greczula had to finish the performance on the stage floor.
"There wasn't much time for that; it was only a few seconds. And it was right at the end of the song," Greczula told TT afterwards.
He said he didn't get any information in his earpiece.
When I arrived, I found a technician who just shook his head, and then I thought, I'll just have to keep going. These things happen.
SVT's project manager, Anders Wistbacka, told Aftonbladet that they regretted what happened and that they would investigate what went wrong, but that Greczula would not be allowed to sing again.
It mattered less to Greczula, as he was voted directly into the final.
