The university management announced to the students on Wednesday that they are breaking all "institutional ties to the state of Israel, to Israeli universities and to companies with headquarters in Israel".

This is on the recommendation of the working group that has investigated the matter since the university's campus was blocked in protest against Israel's warfare in Gaza for five days last year.

Currently, Trinity has ongoing exchange programs with two different Israeli universities that will expire in July 2025 and July 2026, respectively.

The management writes further that they "will not approve or agree to participate in any new institutional research agreements that include Israel". Instead, the university will "seek out like-minded universities and organizations to influence the EU's policy regarding Israel's participation in similar collaborations".
