Trelleborg was relegated from the Super League. Now the football club is forced to reorganize – and is giving everyone notice. "The club is facing a tough challenge," writes chairman Thomas Svensson.

The 1-1 draw at home with Örebro resulted in a final 15th place in the table – a position that means Trelleborg will be forced to play in the top flight next season.

The relegation from Superettan means that the club must reorganize.

Chairman Thomas Svensson provides information about the situation on Trelleborg's website. He writes that "preparatory work for games in the first division has begun," and part of the process has been that all employees have been given notice of termination.

"Something that is absolutely clear is that playing outside of elite football on the men's side entails tough financial challenges, which requires reorganization."

"A consequence of this reorganization is that all employees in the association were given notice of termination to open up for necessary change work."

Svensson also writes - in the statement from the club's board - that Trelleborg's "focus is on a quick return to elite football on the men's side."
