Storm winds snapped a 30-meter-high tree in the town of Satrupholm just as about 50 people, several of whom were children, were holding a traditional Easter egg hunt in the forest.

Four people were trapped under the fallen tree. A 21-year-old woman and a 16-year-old girl died at the scene, while an infant died in hospital. Another young woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries, according to police.

The event in Schleswig-Holstein, near the Danish border, was organized by state child and family services for those in need.
