The Philadelphia forward will be the twelfth NHL player in Sweden's World Cup squad, but is still in the United States to sort out final practical matters before moving to Fribourg in Switzerland.

"He's a great guy on the sidelines with a big smile and an incredible fighting spirit. He's driven and straightforward and is used to playing a role where he can be very useful to us," says Hallam.

Tre Kronor arrived in Switzerland on Wednesday and held their first ice session in the training rink next to the main arena. A strong smell of manure caused several of the players to react as they walked the short distance outside towards the locker rooms in the main arena.

"It smells delicious," says a smiling Oliver Ekman-Larsson, Toronto's star defender who is from the small town of Tingsryd in Småland.
