With a 3-2 penalty shootout win over the Czech Republic in Prague on Thursday and a 4-2 win over Switzerland in Helsinki, newly appointed national team coach Rikard Grönborg had the chance to get a taste of his return as Tre Kronor’s head coach.
But it was not to be.
Emil Bemström (Bern) and Samuel Fagemo (Frölunda) scored Sweden’s goals.
Tre Kronor’s next tournament is on December 10-13, this time in Switzerland.
