It was in Tuesday's fourth game of the season, the final replay against Fribourg-Gottéron, that the Davos Swede was tackled by compatriot Marcus Sörensen and left lying on the ice.
Davos writes on its website that Simon Ryfors has suffered both a cruciate ligament injury and a meniscus injury, and that his season is over.
The 29-year-old had just started his third season with Davos. He played for Tre Kronor as recently as last season.
