The artist Travis Scott has been arrested in Miami, suspected of intoxication and trespassing.
He was arrested in connection with the harbour early on Thursday morning, according to the police, because he shouted obscenities to people on a yacht, reports AP.
When the police asked him if he had been drinking, he allegedly replied:
It's Miami.
The police have also released a mugshot of the star. According to CNN, he paid a bail of $650, equivalent to approximately 6 800 kronor, and was released from custody later on Thursday.
After being released, he wrote "lol", internet slang for laughing out loud, in a post on X.
The arrest comes eight days before Scott's world tour "Circus Maximus" has its European premiere, on 28 June in the Netherlands.
Travis Scott is one of the world's most successful rappers, with millions of listens on Spotify. He has two children with entrepreneur and reality TV personality Kylie Jenner.
