Trams collided in Strasbourg

Two trams have collided in Strasbourg in eastern France.

Many people have been affected, since the accident occurred centrally near the city's railway station. Around 30 people are reported to have been injured, according to French BFMTV, with moderate injuries. Half of them have been taken to hospital.

A large number of firefighters are on the scene and traffic in the EU city is severely affected by the incident. BFMTV writes that the accident was due to a switch failure.
