Last week's rainy weather in Västernorrland created derailments and stops on different railway stretches, which has had a major impact on both passenger and freight traffic to and from Norrland.

”It will not be exactly like regular traffic since there will be a lot of follow-up effects from having stood still for a week", says SJ's press communicator Johannes Cleris.
At the same time, SMHI announces that more rain is expected in Västernorrland. Large amounts of rain that have moved in during the Monday morning are expected to continue until the afternoon. The warning applies to the entire coastal area and also parts of the inland. In total, between 20 and 40 millimeters of rain can be expected, according to SMHI, before the rain moves north.
