The Swedish Transport Agency stops train driver training in Kristinehamn and Nässjö after serious shortcomings.

According to the authority, the company running the training has failed in both management and control. Among other things, the majority of students have not received enough internships.

Now the Swedish Transport Agency is pulling the emergency brake and banning the company from conducting training in both locations.

"We take this seriously. Basically, it's about ensuring that the students really get the knowledge they need to be able to perform their duties as train drivers. They should also contribute to maintaining a safe railway system and receive the training that the railway industry demands and requires," says Petra Särefjord, section manager at the Swedish Transport Agency, in a press release.
