Christopher Nolan's upcoming blockbuster, based on Homer's epic "The Odyssey," has released a trailer ahead of its theatrical release in the summer of 2026.

"Oppenheimer" director Nolan's star-studded blockbuster was filmed entirely with IMAX cameras and stars Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong'o, Zendaya and Charlize Theron.

The Swedish composer Ludwig Göransson is responsible for the music and the Swedish-Dutch Hoyte van Hoytema is responsible for the film's photography.

The trailer doesn't reveal much about the film's plot, which takes place around the 7th century BC, but it does give a glimpse of the film's visual ambitions.

Matt Damon stars as Odysseus, the king of Ithaca, leading his soldiers home after the Trojan War. Shipwrecks, the Trojan Horse, and a monster are all featured in the trailer, which could be a foretaste of the Cyclops from the historical epic.

"The Odyssey" will be released in theaters in mid-July 2026.
