"Yesterday something happened that should never have happened. We are deeply saddened to note that one of our employees has died and that a driver's license candidate was injured," Sofia Lindahl, communications manager for the Swedish Transport Administration's driver testing, told Aftonbladet.
The office in Södertälje is closed on Thursday and all driving tests are cancelled.
The truck driver has been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter and gross negligence in traffic, the prosecutor told Aftonbladet.
