Toyota's prognosis for the broken fiscal year that began in April this year is at an operating profit of 3,800 billion yen (approximately 250 billion kronor), according to a financial report from the car manufacturer.

This is significantly lower than the average prognosis among analysts, which was at 4,700 billion yen.

This can also be compared to 4,800 billion yen during the fiscal year that ended on March 31 this year and the record result of 5,350 billion yen the year before that.

The operating result for the quarter that ended in March became 1,100 billion yen, an increase of 0.3 percent compared to a year earlier.

Toyota – which last year had 23 percent of its global sales in the USA – writes in the interim report that it preliminarily estimates the impact from the new US tariffs to 180 billion yen just during April and May this year.
