"We suspect that someone has thrown flammable liquid or something similar. But we will investigate that," says police spokesperson Ola Österling.
Police are investigating the incident as a serious public endangerment offence and a violation of the Act on Flammable and Explosive Goods.
The alarm came at 1 p.m. The fire was under control by 3 p.m., according to Henrik Dewoon-Thorén, duty officer at the rescue service. The home where the fire started is completely destroyed.
We have managed to stop the fire in this first apartment, so it has not spread further in this row of three apartments, he says.
No one was injured. All residents in the row of townhouses were evacuated.
