Tove Alexandersson took home the women's long distance in Idre in superior style.

I'm really pleased. It was a tough race and exactly the kind of long distance I want, so it was really fun, said Alexandersson to SVT after the race.

The 32-year-old took an early lead and eventually won by a whole three minutes and twelve seconds down to the Swiss Simona Aebersold.

I saw directly that the first controls were really tricky and here it's really about being super careful and just taking them. I'm very pleased that I did as well as I did, continued the superstar.

Third in the competition was the Norwegian Andrine Benjaminsen and fourth the Swede Sara Hagström.
