The bus was traveling between Lampang and Chiang Mai in the northern parts of the country when the accident occurred on Sunday, Thai police said.
At least two people are reported to have suffered serious injuries.
It is not clear which countries the injured tourists are from. The area in northern Thailand is popular with backpackers and other tourists from many parts of the world.
