"Our meeting in Cyprus comes at a crucial time," states Council President António Costa in his invitation to Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson and the other participants.
The idea is to begin on Thursday evening, April 23, with a report from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and a discussion about the war situation in and around Iran and the Middle East, where the energy situation will also be addressed.
On Friday morning, April 24, the meeting will continue with discussions on the EU's long-term budget for the years 2028-2034, followed by a working lunch on the Middle East, also with the participation of specially invited leaders in the region.
