Tough for von Eckermann again – despite horse change

It's still not going well for world number one Henric von Eckermann – despite the world number one choosing to rest his star horse King Edward for the remainder of the indoor season. With his new partner Iliana, the Swede finished last among all those who completed the World Cup competition in London.

The Swede held on nicely for 55 seconds, before it all went wrong. First, a knocked-down obstacle and then Iliana refused the last obstacle, and had to retake.

It ended with von Eckermann and Iliana finishing last among all who did not abandon the competition (30 teams) with a time of 74.12 seconds and 17 penalty points. The 43-year-old was the only one who was over 70 seconds during the jump.

The best Swedish rider instead became Erica Swartz Ryan and Cavicii Z, who finished in 22nd place.

The winner was Irishman Darragh Kenny on Eddy Blue after a jump-off.
