The first round of this year's World Tour, which will also stop in Malmö from August 16-23, came to an abrupt end in the quarterfinals for the Swedish table tennis star.
It was not until the third set that Truls Möregårdh came to life, after having clearly lost the first two sets. The Swede took the third set after a tense finish.
But Jang Woojin, ranked 18th in the world, didn't let that affect him and continued to play strongly.
Möregårdh had no chance in the fourth set, and in the decisive fifth he lost 10–12.
The score was 1–4 (5–11, 7–11, 11–9, 3–11, 10–12) for 23-year-old Möregårdh, who is ranked fifth in the world.
