Most often, they face each other in championships.

But already in the tournament in Tampere, Damkronorna will measure their strength against world champion Canada.

"Very fun", says federation captain Ulf Lundberg in a press release.

Sweden meets Canada on December 11, and then the Czech Republic awaits. If Blue and Yellow grabs one of the two top spots in the group, the playoffs await – and then the USA may be waiting.

"We haven't met the USA yet this decade, which gives an extra incentive to reach the playoffs", says Lundberg.

The tournament in Finland takes place from December 11 to 15.
