Anna Magnusson was flawless on the range, but not fast enough on the track to challenge for a podium spot. The Swede was barely 55 seconds behind winner Lou Jeanmonnot, France, and around half a minute from a third place.
The next best Swedish performance came from Anna-Karin Heijdenberg, who could have achieved a better placing if she hadn't missed a shot in the final shooting. The other 19 shots were on target, and Heijdenberg finished eighth (+57 seconds).
Hanna Öberg, with three misses in total, finished ninth (+1.04) and Ella Halvarsson, with one miss, finished 23rd (+2.16).
Elvira Öberg won the mass start at the World Championship in Lenzerheide in February, but fell ill after the championship. She made her competitive comeback now, but had a tough day on the range. Öberg finished 26th after five misses and was 2.48 behind winner Lou Jeanmonnot.
She was second in the mass start cup in the World Cup before the competition in Pokljuka, but is now losing ground ahead of the finale in Oslo next week.
On Sunday, the mixed relay and single mixed relay will be held in Slovenia.
