British media reported earlier this week that an unnamed Premier League player was threatened with a gun by an agent. Tottenham have now confirmed that the person involved is 22-year-old Udogie.
"We have supported Destiny and his family since the incident and will continue to do so. Given that this is a legal matter, we cannot comment further," the club said in a statement.
A 31-year-old man has been arrested after the incident on suspicion of possession of a firearm, extortion and illegal driving.
Destiny Udogie played from the start when Tottenham won 4-0 against FC Copenhagen in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
