Winds of over 69 meters per second have toppled trees and cars and several buildings and homes have been damaged.
The municipality of Rio Bonito do Iguaçu, in the state of Paraná, with around 14,000 inhabitants, was worst affected by the tornado's advance.
Of the 130 injured, 30 people are reportedly being treated for serious injuries.
The governor of Paraná, Ratinho Júnior, writes on X that "security forces are on alert and monitoring the cities affected by the strong storms."
