Torbjörn Nilsson was affected last winter by a rare infection. Staphylococci had attacked the skeleton in his back, he tells in an interview with Göteborgs-Posten.

The 70-year-old IFK Göteborg legend was, among other things, hospitalized at Östra hospital for ten days. He estimates that he is now, in mid-April, restored to at least 98 percent.

I'm taking antibiotics, and I'll have to do that for three months. I have one month left, says Nilsson to GP.

When the former attacking star and coach first got sick, he thought it was a back strain.

It was bloody awful. I was walking with crutches and stuff. It had settled in my back. I couldn't move.

When you're lying there in the hospital bed, I just thought about one thing: Damn how I'll be happy when I'm out walking my dog again. Just get me back to that.
