The 66-year-old, who has three Swedish Championship gold medals as a player for Färjestad and the same number as a coach (two as an assistant, one as head coach) at the same club, took over Timrå this season. The team is currently in seventh place in the SHL.
"We are eternally grateful for the work Tommy has done and how he has taken on the task. He has done a very good job and laid a foundation that we can build on in the long term," says Timrå's sports director Kent Norberg.
The work of finding a replacement has begun.
