Tommy Samuelsson Appointed Head Coach of Timrå in SHL

Tommy Samuelsson takes over as head coach in the SHL team Timrå. He comes most recently from Nybro.

Samuelsson has three national championship gold medals as a player for Färjestad in the 1980s. He also has three national championship gold medals as an assistant coach (2002) and head coach (2009 and 2011) in the same club.

Samuelsson has also been an assistant coach in Tre Kronor.

"It feels incredibly inspiring to get the opportunity to lead Timrå IK. I see a club with strong culture, passionate supporters, and great future visions", says Samuelsson to the team's website.

The contract extends over one year with the possibility of extension. He starts immediately ahead of the preseason.

"Tommy is a leader who combines experience, clarity, and the ability to develop both teams and individuals", says Kent Norberg, sports manager in Timrå.
