Tommy Paul Withdraws from Nordic Open Tennis Tournament in Stockholm

Last year's champion in the Nordic Open in tennis, Tommy Paul, withdraws from the ATP tournament in Stockholm.

The American, who won the tournament at the Royal Tennis Hall also in 2021, has been plagued by injuries during the year and could not play the ongoing Masters tournament in Shanghai either. According to Tennishead, writes SVT, he is replaced by the Briton Jacob Fearnley.

The Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov has also withdrawn. He has, according to Tennistemple, writes SVT, not had time to fully recover from the shoulder injury this summer. Dimitrov is replaced by Sebastian Korda.

On Thursday, the tennis tournament, which was previously called Stockholm Open, received a strong addition in the form of the Dane Holger Rune, ranked eleven in the world.

The qualifying round for the Nordic Open starts on Saturday.
