Tomasson will be part of a technical study group during this summer's championship, writes the International Football Association Board (IFAB) on its website.
Together with former great players Jürgen Klinsmann and Gilberto Silva, among others, he will share his expert knowledge.
The group will be led by, among others, former Arsenal coaching legend Arsene Wenger.
