The weekend before the big Vasaloppet, which is already part of Ski Classics, two sprint races of 30 kilometers each will be held between Oxberg and Mora. Saturday's women's race, on February 27, is the traditional Tjejvasan, and on Sunday the men will run the same distance.
"Tjejvasan is a legendary ski race in Sweden. Now that it will be part of the Ski Classics World Championship calendar, we expect to see more professional team skiers on the starting line, along with recreational skiers," Ski Classics director David Nilsson said in a press release.
