The Norwegian handball star Nora Mørk played the Olympic Games with pain and said after the gold in Paris that she is pausing national team play.
Now she is also putting her game in the Danish club Esbjerg on pause for an indefinite period.
It is the medical and physical staff around Nora who decide. Of course, I want her to play because she is a fantastic player and important for Team Esbjerg, says coach Tomas Axnér, who is also the national team coach for the Swedish women, to Danish TV2.
But she should not play with pain either, and we have a long season ahead of us. It will take the time it takes.
Axnér says that the load on the 33-year-old has been very high over the past year and that the club therefore gave her a little break after the Olympic Games.
