On Instagram, Johansson writes that she has had an injury and therefore cannot compete when this weekend's Swedish Athletics Championships are decided.
"I have had a slight feeling in my groin/hip flexors this week. Nothing serious, but I don't want to take any chances with the risk of making it worse and jeopardizing the rest of the season," the long jumper writes.
The announcement means that the 25-year-old cannot qualify for the European Championships in Birmingham, England, in August via the direct qualification standard (6.77). The last day to do so is July 26. But hope is not lost yet. Tilde Johansson can still get there via ranking points.
