Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg was deported from Venice for 48 hours after participating in an action at a tourist attraction this weekend, reports Expressen, citing Corriere del Veneto.

According to the Italian newspaper, Thunberg was one of the leaders when 37 climate activists from Extinction Rebellion carried out an action at the famous Rialto Bridge in Venice on Saturday morning. The group poured five barrels of green liquid into the Grand Canal, the main waterway in the city, which turned the water green. They also hung a banner on the Rialto Bridge.

All climate activists were removed from the site and banned by local authorities from returning to Venice for 48 hours.
