The men, who are 25, 33 and 50 years old respectively, were arrested earlier this week, the police write on their website.
"We are collaborating with more and more countries to arrest Swedish criminals when they are abroad and we are very pleased with that. We are grateful for the work our Egyptian counterparts have done in this case," says Deputy National Police Chief Stefan Hector in a comment.
Two of them have been sentenced to prison and will serve their sentences. One has been sentenced to five years in prison for, among other things, arson and aggravated weapons offenses. The other has been sentenced to two years and five months in prison for, among other things, aggravated weapons offenses.
The third is suspected of incitement to attempted murder, drug offenses and extortion.
