Two UN soldiers are seriously injured, Unifil spokesperson Kandice Ardiel wrote in a post on X, adding that the cause of the explosion is unknown.
"Unifil reminds all actors of their obligations to ensure the safety of peacekeepers," she wrote.
This is the third time in a week that UN soldiers have been hit in connection with Israel's offensive against the Shiite militia Hezbollah in Lebanon. On Sunday, an Indonesian UN soldier was killed and on Monday two more were killed.
Meanwhile, two people who had attended Friday prayers at a mosque were killed when an Israeli drone struck the town of Sohmor, according to Lebanon's state news agency NNA. Eleven people were injured.
