The police have recently received a series of calls from various women who had arranged to meet sex buyers in Västerås. When the perpetrators showed up at a planned meeting, the women were allegedly assaulted, according to TV4 Nyheterna.
At one point last Sunday, a woman allegedly fought back and called the police, after which the perpetrators fled. Police were then able to arrest three men, two 18-year-olds and a 19-year-old, and link them to incidents of aggravated robbery against women earlier in August.
They have now been arrested for aggravated robbery and aggravated weapons offences, as well as attempted robbery. According to the prosecutor, these are three different victims.
