Both Noah Östlund and Rasmus Dahlin contributed points as Buffalo beat Montreal 5-3 in tonight's NHL game. But the home team got off to a slow start.

After four minutes, Montreal scored the first goal. Buffalo then started to pick up the pace.

Swedish Noah Östlund passed to teammate Tage Thompson, who scored Buffalo's first goal on the power play. Östlund also assisted on the team's second goal.

Montreal tied the score before the end of the first period and also scored early in the second period. Buffalo was able to turn the game around through Rasmus Dahlin, who set up Alex Tuch, who made it 3–3.

In the final period, Buffalo pulled away with two more goals. The last was scored by Tage Thompson into an empty net, his third goal of the game.
