Two of them are wanted on suspicion of aggravated sexual assault, aggravated unlawful coercion and aggravated assault. One is also being investigated for unlawful threats. The suspected crimes were committed between October 1 and 2.

A third person is wanted on suspicion of assault and unlawful coercion of the normal degree. These crimes are said to have been committed on several occasions in August, September and October.

All the suspected crimes took place at the school.

The three suspects are all 18-year-old men. They were arrested during a police operation at the school on Thursday and remanded in custody the following day.

Legal documents seen by TT show that the suspected crimes were directed against three minor plaintiffs.

According to information provided to several media outlets, the events took place in connection with a “derailed” initiation ritual.

“Happened before”

In a comment to Expressen on Saturday, Elin Ternert, one of the suspects’ defense attorneys, emphasized that the school also has a responsibility.

“Similar activities have occurred in this type of school environment before, and there is a history and a school culture that cannot be ignored,” she wrote.

The school management has not commented directly on the suspicions, but in a press release called the events “extremely serious,” said that classes would continue as usual and that the school “is available to the students.”

The King’s School

Sigtunaskolan Humanistiska Läroverket (SSHL) has both boarding and day students. The school is considered one of Sweden’s elite schools, and former students include King Carl XVI Gustaf, Olof Palme and several members of the Wallenberg family.

The detention hearings will take place on Sunday afternoon.
