"We received information that people had been shot. We now have a perpetrator in custody," writes task force leader Gisle Lindheim Sveen in the police log at 8 a.m. on Saturday morning, according to NTB.
According to police information, three people were involved. Large resources have reportedly been sent to the scene and images show heavily armed police cordoning off a gravel road in a forested area.
The police also write that there is no danger to the public, but say they are currently unable to answer any more questions.
The incident occurred on Sunday morning in the municipality of Halden, in southern Norway on the border with Sweden. The municipality has now activated a crisis team.
