After a period of no scoring, Leo Carlsson's goal-scoring came out strong against Montreal. The Swede's team was down 1–0 in the first period on a play nicely finished by Chris Kreider and Troy Terry, and he then thundered in the 2–0 goal with a direct shot.
However, Montreal managed to both catch up and take the lead before Leo Carlsson tied it 3–3 at the end of the second period.
In the final period, Carlsson's teammate Cutter Gauthier made it 4–3 for Anaheim - which was also the final score.
Before tonight's game, Carlsson had gone scoreless in four straight games.
