Three Players Excluded from Sweden's World Championship Opener

On Thursday evening, Tre Kronor announced its first squad for the home premiere against Slovakia on Friday.

The roster only included 21 players. Therefore, three players from the preliminary squad are not registered.

The forward duo Max Friberg, Frölunda, and Christoffer Ehn, Linköping, as well as defenseman Gabriel Carlsson, Zug, are the ones national team captain Sam Hallam has chosen to sit out the premiere in a sold-out and newly renovated Avicii Arena.

The premiere match of Sweden's home World Championship begins at 20.20 on Friday evening.

Goalkeepers: Jacob Markström, New Jersey, Samuel Ersson, Philadelphia, Arvid Söderblom, Chicago
