Three men in their 20s have been detained on suspicion of kidnapping, after a woman and a small child were recently taken away in Södermanland and later found by the police in western Sweden in connection with a house search, reports TV4 News.
According to TV4, the three men – who, according to the police, were arrested "in the near future or in connection with" the operation – have been detained on probable cause, which is the higher degree of suspicion. Two of the men are said to have been previously known to the police.
The woman and child were assessed as "being in good health given the circumstances", the police told TT on Monday.
