A 43-year-old man is prosecuted for murder, a 52-year-old man is prosecuted for aiding murder and a 66-year-old man is prosecuted for gross protection of a criminal, according to a press release from the Prosecution Authority.
According to the prosecution, the 66-year-old has driven the two other men to the 54-year-old's residence. The man is said to have been stabbed with a knife in the neck, but managed after the assault to get to a neighbor who alerted SOS. The man later died of his injuries.
The knife used in the crime was stolen from a store about 15 minutes before the alarm came in, according to the investigation. The three defendants are said to have left the scene together in a car and the knife was later found by the police in a ditch along the route, according to the prosecutor.
”The three prosecuted men and the plaintiff have all been acquainted with each other. All admit to the course of events, and the 43-year-old has confessed to gross assault and causing another person's death while the other two deny the crime”, says deputy prosecutor Karolina Fredriksson in a comment.
