The attack was carried out in the eastern Pacific Ocean on Friday, the military wrote in a post on X.
Since last September, the US has carried out repeated attacks on ships in the Caribbean Sea and the eastern Pacific Ocean that are alleged to have been smuggling drugs. However, no evidence has been presented to support that claim. So far, about 200 people have been killed.
