The attack was carried out on Sunday in the Caribbean Sea against whom the military calls "narco-terrorists."
Three men were reported to have been killed in the incident. According to the AP news agency, a total of at least 181 people have been killed in similar attacks in the Pacific and Caribbean since last fall.
No evidence has been presented to prove that the boats were used for drug trafficking, and critics have questioned whether the attacks were legal.
