The police in Vänersborg were alerted within the span of half an hour during the morning about three fires. The first alarm came at 5.18, then one at 5.28 and another at 5.50 – all in the central parts of the town.
No one is believed to have been injured in the fires, but the police suspect that they were set, and initiate a preliminary investigation into arson.
Half an hour later, the police arrest a 25-year-old man in connection with one of the fires. He is known to the police from before, with connections to similar cases.
