Three people died in an avalanche in the French ski resort of Val d'Isère on Friday, France 3 reports.
A group of five skiers and a guide were hit by a powerful avalanche in an off-piste area earlier on Friday. They were wearing safety equipment.
There is a high avalanche risk in the area.
