Three men in their 20s are being charged with several serious crimes in Västerbotten. The men are suspected of having controlled the handling of large quantities of narcotics.

"With the help of purposeful intelligence work over a long period of time, we have managed to arrest several prominent people connected to criminal networks in Västerbotten," says Thomas Palmgren, head of the intelligence group in the Västerbotten police area, in a press release.

The men are suspected of, among other things, particularly serious drug offenses, serious violations of the Act on Flammable and Explosive Goods and involving minors in crime. They are from the Umeå region and Stockholm, according to the police.

The men allegedly recruited and paid young people to carry out missions for them, according to State Prosecutor Stina Sterner.
