The Israeli army has confirmed that it killed one of WCK's employees, who is said to have been a "terrorist" who participated in Hamas' attack in southern Israel last October. WCK states in a statement that the aid organization has no knowledge of "any person in the vehicle having connections to Hamas' attack on October 7".
World Central Kitchen has previously lost seven employees in an Israeli air raid that received international attention. The attack was later described by the army as a "mistake".
In the latest incident, a witness saw the drone hit a truck carrying humanitarian aid after looters tried to get hold of the cargo. A second drone hit a terrain vehicle with the aid organization's logo and killed three employees, reports news agency EFE.
The victims were two local managers within the organization and a driver, according to local sources.
